Love is in the Mountain air

Oliver and Carlyne’s love story began with a road trip.

Oliver traveled from Roanoke to Richmond with his Best bud to meet up with some mutual friends, and the group had plans to catch a live show downtown. Little did they know, that night would change everything.

As fate would have it, Carlyne and Oliver found themselves sharing an Uber. The vibes were electric. Carlyne had her closest friends by her side, Oliver had his. After a few beers and some spontaneous dancing, Oliver made the bold first move, sealing it with a kiss that sent sparks flying.

The following weekend, Oliver was back in Richmond. They spent the night ordering takeout and diving deep into conversation until the early hours. Carlyne may or may not have shed a tear when it was time for him to head back to Roanoke (because, let’s face it, she already knew something special was brewing). After a few more weekend trips, it was official: Oliver and Carlyne were a thing. Soon enough, Oliver packed his bags and moved to Richmond. The next few years were an exhilarating ride of discovering each other’s quirks, meeting family, and moving in together. Their bond deepened through their love of traveling to new places near and far, jamming at concerts, hanging with their many mutual friends, and cuddling their fur baby, Todd.

Their love story hit a milestone when Oliver popped the question in the stunning setting of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Surrounded by nature and the mountains they both loved, it was the perfect moment to take the next step.

But there was always an itch for something more—something brave and adventurous. So in May 2024, they made the move to Park City, Utah, where they now call home. Since then, their love has only soared higher and stronger. Together, they've already made unforgettable memories, and they’re beyond excited to bring their family and friends to Park City to celebrate their next big adventure: getting married!

“Home is not where you are from, it is where you belong. Some of us travel the whole world to find it. Others, find it in a person.”
